Overview

Discover the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure on Sri Lanka’s southern coast.
Your journey begins in Bentota, famous for its water sports and river safaris, before moving
down to Hikkaduwa and Unawatuna for snorkeling and vibrant beach life. You will witness the
stilt fishermen, visit a sea turtle hatchery, and have the chance to spot blue whales off the coast
of Mirissa.
Beyond the beaches, this tour includes a walk through the UNESCO World Heritage site of
Galle Fort, where colonial history meets modern charm. The trip concludes with a visit to the
bustling city of Colombo, giving you a taste of urban Sri Lanka before your departure.

Tour Plan

  • Arrival at Colombo International Airport (BIA).
  • Transfer to the resort town of
    Bentota.
  • Evening Madu River boat safari or water sports (Jet Ski, Banana Boat).
  • Overnight stay in Bentota.
  • Morning drive along the coast to Hikkaduwa.
  • Snorkeling at the Hikkaduwa coral
    sanctuary.
  • Continue to Unawatuna and relax on the beach.
  • Overnight stay in
    Unawatuna or Mirissa.
  • Early morning whale watching tour in Mirissa (seasonal).
  • Relax on Mirissa
    Beach or visit Coconut Tree Hill for photos.
  • Optional surfing lesson or swim in the
    ocean.
  • Overnight stay in Mirissa.
  • Transfer to Galle to explore the historic Dutch Fort.
  • Walk along the ramparts
    and visit the lighthouse.
  • Drive to Colombo via the Southern Expressway.
  • Overnight stay in Colombo.
  • Morning city tour of Colombo (Independence Square, Gangaramaya Temple).
  • Last-minute shopping for souvenirs or tea.
  • Transfer to the airport for departure.
