Overview

Experience the wild side of Sri Lanka with a journey designed for nature lovers and
adventure seekers. Starting from the coastal town of Negombo, you will travel to the cultural
heart of the island to see the famous “Elephant Gathering” at Minneriya and the ancient Sigiriya
Rock Fortress. The trip continues to the south, where you will explore Udawalawe and Yala
National Parks, home to large herds of elephants and the highest density of leopards in the
world.
After your jungle adventures, the tour winds down on the beautiful beaches of Mirissa. Here,
you can relax by the ocean or head out for a whale-watching excursion. Whether you are
looking for thrilling wildlife encounters or quiet sunsets by the sea, this itinerary offers a
complete and memorable Sri Lankan holiday.

Tour Plan

Arrival at Colombo International Airport (BIA).
Transfer to the coastal town of
Negombo.
Relax at the hotel or take a sunset boat ride on the Negombo Lagoon.
Overnight stay in Negombo.

Transfer to Habarana in the Cultural Triangle.
Afternoon jeep safari at
Minneriya National Park to see wild elephants.
Check in to your hotel surrounded by
nature.
Overnight stay in Habarana or Sigiriya.

Morning visit to the Sigiriya Rock Fortress (optional climb).
Transfer to
Udawalawe (approx. 5-6 hours drive).
Check in to the safari lodge and relax.
Overnight stay in Udawalawe.

Morning game drive in Udawalawe National Park to spot elephants, water buffalo, and
birds.
Visit the Elephant Transit Home to see baby elephants being cared for.
Relax at the hotel in the evening.
Overnight stay in Udawalawe.

Transfer to Yala National Park.
Check in to the hotel and enjoy lunch.
Evening jeep safari in Yala National Park (Block 1) to spot leopards and sloth bears.
Overnight stay in Yala.
